H.R. No. 127 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Christy Lansford of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in McMullen County received the Achievement in Service Award from the Texas Association of Extension 4-H Youth Development Professionals at its annual conference in Kemah in August 2023; and WHEREAS, This prestigious award is given to agents with at least two and less than seven years of service who have achieved outstanding programming effectiveness and client engagement; and WHEREAS, A fitting recipient, Ms. Lansford has served as the agriculture and natural resources agent for McMullen County since June 2019; during her exceptional tenure, she has helped the county's 4-H program to grow sixfold, providing even more students with activities designed to foster leadership, citizenship, and responsibility; she has received numerous state 4-H accolades over the years, including the Gold Clover, Excellence in Club Support, and Excellence in Ag Programming awards; and WHEREAS, In addition to her work with 4-H, Ms. Lansford has given generously of her time and talents to the Tilden Livestock Scholarship Association, the Tilden Lions Club, the Fowlerton Water Supply Corporation, and St. Joseph's Catholic Church; and WHEREAS, The skill, professionalism, and commitment to excellence demonstrated by Christy Lansford have made her an important asset to the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, and she is indeed deserving of this most recent honor; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Christy Lansford on her receipt of the Achievement in Service Award from the Texas Association of Extension 4-H Youth Development Professionals and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Lansford as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
