 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The varsity chorale ensemble of Timberview High
 School in the Mansfield Independent School District has been
 invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York on March 17, 2024;
 and
 WHEREAS, This prestigious honor is awarded to only a few
 choirs each year, and it will be the varsity chorale's first ever
 concert out of state; during the event, the group will perform
 Mozart's Requiem; and
 WHEREAS, The Timberview High varsity chorale is an auditioned
 choir for students in the 10th through 12th grades; to become a
 member of the ensemble, students must demonstrate an advanced level
 of vocal technique, sight-reading skills, and performance
 practices; in addition to performing, students compete in contests
 and learn elements of music theory; the group benefits from the able
 leadership of Jason Forte, the director of choirs; and
 WHEREAS, Through their talent, hard work, and commitment to
 excellence, the young singers of the Timberview High School varsity
 chorale have earned their way to an event of enormous prestige, and
 their achievement is a great credit to Mansfield ISD and a source of
 pride to their families, friends, and fellow students; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
 Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate the
 Timberview High School varsity chorale ensemble on being invited to
 perform at Carnegie Hall in New York and extend to its members
 sincere best wishes for a meaningful and memorable event; and, be it
 further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for the choir as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
