 CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
 WHEREAS, A 70th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of
 mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Cecil and Wilma
 Halfmann of St. Lawrence celebrated this joyous milestone in their
 marriage on October 14, 2023; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Halfmann were joined in matrimony in
 1953 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Olfen; over the years, they
 have been blessed with a treasured family that includes their 10
 children, 30 grandchildren, and 59 great-grandchildren; and
 WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. and
 Mrs. Halfmann retired from farming in 1995, and their many hobbies
 have included dancing, gardening, and playing dominoes and cards;
 in addition, Mr. Halfmann took up woodworking in his retirement,
 and Mrs. Halfmann is an avid quilter who also takes pleasure in
 baking and playing bunco; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Halfmann have enjoyed seven decades of
 abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an
 exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting
 commitment; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the 88th Legislature of the State of Texas,
 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate Cecil and Wilma Halfmann on
 their 70th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best
 wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Halfmann as an expression of high regard
 by the Texas House of Representatives and Senate.
