R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Richard Milburn Academy in Killeen is celebrating
the 25th anniversary of its founding in 2023; and
WHEREAS, The institution was established in 1998 with the
mission to provide a high-quality education that fosters academic
excellence, character development, and community engagement; and
WHEREAS, Through the years, the dedicated educators,
administrators, staff, and volunteers of Richard Milburn Academy
have worked tirelessly to create a supportive and nurturing
environment that instills in students a love for learning, that
encourages critical thinking, and that promotes values such as
respect, responsibility, and integrity; and
WHEREAS, RMA's leadership has consistently demonstrated a
visionary approach to education that emphasizes the use of
innovative teaching methods and curriculum enhancements, with the
goal of preparing students for success in an ever-evolving world;
in its efforts to help students achieve their greatest potential,
the school also benefits from its strong partnerships with parents,
guardians, and the community; and
WHEREAS, Since its inception, Richard Milburn Academy has had
a profound impact on the educational landscape in the local
community and beyond, and its 25th anniversary provides a welcome
opportunity to reflect on the school's growth and to celebrate the
achievements of its students, faculty, alumni, and supporters; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby honor Richard Milburn
Academy in Killeen on the occasion of its 25th anniversary and
commend all those affiliated with the school for their commitment
to enriching the lives of Texas students and fostering a brighter
future for all; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Richard Milburn Academy as an expression of high
regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
