2	6		WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
3		-	recognize Isaac McAllen for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout; and
	7	+	recognize Isaac McAllen for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout;
	8	+	and
4	9		WHEREAS, This fine young man has joined the elite corps of
5	10		Eagles, and he recently received the coveted Eagle Badge at his
6	11		Court of Honor held on October 22, 2023; and
7	12		WHEREAS, Few achieve this distinguished honor; only a
8	13		small percentage of boys in the Boy Scouts of America program
9	14		attain the rank of Eagle Scout; and
10	15		WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and
11	16		promise, Isaac advanced through the ranks of Tenderfoot, Second,
12	17		First, Star, and Life classes before reaching Eagle Scout; and
13	18		WHEREAS, This personable young man displayed leadership
14	19		through planning, developing, and conducting a service project
15	20		that benefited his community; for his project, he created an
16		-	outdoor classroom for Saint Matthew's Episcopal Church and School
17		-	in Edinburg during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic that allowed
18		-	the school to safely provide in-person classes to the children of
19		-	families of first responders, medical staff, and teachers; and

22	28		his state; he is truly a shining example to his fellow Scouts and
23	29		to the young people of Texas; now, therefore, be it
24	30		RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
25	31		Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby commend Isaac McAllen on
26	32		receiving this prestigious honor and congratulate him on his
27	33		outstanding achievement; and, be it further
28	34		RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
29	35		Eagle Scout Isaac McAllen as an expression of esteem from the
30	36		Texas Senate.
