5	5	WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Suzanne Linbeck
6	6	Reynolds of Houston were deeply saddened by her passing on
7	7	January 18, 2023, at the age of 85; and
8	8	WHEREAS, The daughter of Leo Edward Linbeck and Patti Ruth
9	9	Maloney Linbeck, the former Suzanne Linbeck was born in Houston on
10	10	July 29, 1937; she grew up with a brother, Leo, and a sister,
11	11	Patricia "Poppy," and attended St. Anne Catholic School, St. Agnes
12	12	Academy, St. Mary's College, Barat College, and the University of
13	13	St. Thomas; and
14	14	WHEREAS, She married the love of her life, Frank Fisher
15	15	Reynolds Jr., on September 7, 1959; they became the proud parents
16	16	of five children, Frank, Stephen, Kent, Suzanne, and Andrea, and
17	17	provided them with a foundation of strong faith; eventually,
18	18	Mrs. Reynolds was blessed with 12 grandchildren, and she instilled
19	19	in them the same enduring values; her greatest delight was spending
20	20	time with her loved ones, and she especially enjoyed shopping with
21	21	her grandchildren for their birthdays and attending their school
22	22	events; she shared a fulfilling marriage of 54 years with her
23	23	husband until his passing; and
24	24	WHEREAS, A devout, longtime member of St. Anne and Holy
25	25	Rosary Parishes, Mrs. Reynolds belonged to the Knights of the
26	26	Holy Sepulchre, the Knights of Malta, St. Anne's Guild, and the
27	27	Charity Guild of Catholic Women; moreover, she was a founder and
28	28	leader in both Houston Right to Life and Texas Right to Life; she
29	29	also served on the board of the University of St. Thomas; and
30	30	WHEREAS, Although Suzanne Reynolds is sadly missed, her
31	31	steadfast commitment to her family and her faith will forever
32	32	remain a source of inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to
33	33	know her; now, therefore, be it
34	34	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
35	35	Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of
36	36	Suzanne Linbeck Reynolds and extend sincere sympathy to the members
37	37	of her family: to her children, Frank Fisher Reynolds III and his
38	38	wife, Maria, the Reverend Stephen Bartlett Reynolds, Kent Linbeck
39	39	Reynolds and his wife, Alissa, Suzanne "Muffet" Reynolds Laine and
40	40	her husband, Matthew, and Andrea Leigh Reynolds; to her
41	41	grandchildren, Fisher Reynolds IV and his wife, Brooke, Kayla
42	42	Tompkins, Stephen, Carmen, Rebecca, Virginia, Thomas, and John
43	43	Reynolds, Reid, Caroline, and Charles Laine, and Matthew Laine Jr.;
44	44	to her great-grandchild, Jacqueline Reynolds; to her
45	45	brothers-in-law, Peter Doyle, Norman Reynolds and his wife, Sally,
46	46	and Richard Reynolds and his wife, Susie; to her sisters-in-law,
47	47	Bette Linbeck and Judy Brand; and to her many other relatives and
48	48	friends; and, be it further
49	49	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
50	50	prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns
51	51	this day, it do so in memory of Suzanne Reynolds.
