SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 68
WHEREAS, Jessyn Rebecca Ramos is marking a significant
event in her life on December 15, 2023, when she celebrates her
quinceañera with family and friends; and
WHEREAS, Derived from the Spanish words "quince" and
"años," meaning "15 years," the quinceañera is a traditional
celebration that can be traced back to both Mesoamerica and the
Iberian Peninsula, and it remains a meaningful observance that
commemorates a young woman's journey toward adulthood; and
WHEREAS, Born on December 15, 2008, Jessyn Ramos is the
beloved daughter of Jesus G. Ramos and Rebecca D. Ramos; she is
currently a freshman at Lampasas High School, and she has
distinguished herself as a member of the honor society, the
student leadership council, the UIL debate team, and Key Club;
sustained by her strong faith, she is also involved in the youth
ministry at her church; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Ramos is a source of tremendous pride to her
family, and it is a pleasure to join her loved ones in honoring
her at this special time; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 88th
Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate Jessyn
Rebecca Ramos on the joyous occasion of her quinceañera and
extend to her sincere best wishes for a bright and rewarding
future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be
prepared for Ms. Ramos as an expression of high regard by the
Texas Senate.
