7	10		AN ACT
8	11		relating to the designation of a portion of State Highway 242 in
9	12		Montgomery County as the Lance Corporal Armando Hernandez Memorial
10	13		Bridge.
11	14		BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
12	15		SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code,
13		-	is amended by adding Section 225.~~254~~ to read as follows:
14		-	Sec. 225.~~254~~. LANCE CORPORAL ARMANDO HERNANDEZ MEMORIAL
	16	+	is amended by adding Section 225.243 to read as follows:
	17	+	Sec. 225.243. LANCE CORPORAL ARMANDO HERNANDEZ MEMORIAL
15	18		BRIDGE. (a) The structure on State Highway 242 that passes over
16	19		Interstate Highway 69 in Montgomery County is designated as the
17	20		Lance Corporal Armando Hernandez Memorial Bridge. The designation
18	21		is in addition to any other designation.
19	22		(b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall:
20	23		(1) design and construct markers indicating the
21	24		designation as the Lance Corporal Armando Hernandez Memorial Bridge
22	25		and any other appropriate information; and
23	26		(2) erect a marker at each end of the highway and at
24	27		appropriate intermediate sites along the highway.
25	28		SECTION 2. It is the intent of the 89th Legislature, Regular
26	29		Session, 2025, that the provisions added by this Act be renumbered
27	30		to prevent multiple provisions with the same designation.
28	31		SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
