 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 AN ACT
 relating to a no-evidence motion for summary judgment.
 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 SECTION 1.  Chapter 18, Civil Practice and Remedies Code, is
 amended by adding Subchapter E to read as follows:
 SUBCHAPTER E. DISMISSAL FOR LACK OF EVIDENCE
 Sec. 18.121.  NO-EVIDENCE MOTION FOR SUMMARY JUDGMENT.  A
 court shall consider all evidence on the record or otherwise before
 the court when ruling on a no-evidence motion for summary judgment.
 SECTION 2.  The change in law made by this Act applies to a
 no-evidence motion for summary judgment that is pending in a trial
 court on the effective date of this Act or that is filed on or after
 the effective date of this Act.
 SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
