 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 AN ACT
 relating to the manner of reporting results in the conduct of
 elections.
 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 SECTION 1.  Section 67.017, Election Code, is amended by
 adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows:
 (a-1)  The report of precinct results for a general election
 shall include each candidate's percentage of the total number of
 votes received by all candidates for each office.
 SECTION 2.  Section 68.004, Election Code, is amended by
 adding Subsection (b-1) to read as follows:
 (b-1)  The periodic reports for a primary, runoff primary, or
 general election shall include each candidate's percentage of the
 total number of votes received by all the candidates for the
 nomination or office, as applicable.
 SECTION 3.  Section 68.005, Election Code, is amended by
 adding Subsection (b-1) to read as follows:
 (b-1)  The final report for a primary, runoff primary, or
 general election shall include each candidate's percentage of the
 total number of votes received by all the candidates for the
 nomination or office, as applicable.
 SECTION 4.  Section 172.113, Election Code, is amended by
 adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows:
 (a-1)  The unofficial tabulation of precinct results shall
 include each candidate's percentage of the total number of votes
 received by all the candidates for the nomination.
 SECTION 5.  Section 172.124(a), Election Code, is amended to
 read as follows:
 (a)  For each primary election and any resulting runoff
 election, the county clerk shall prepare a report of the number of
 votes, including early voting votes, received in each county
 election precinct by each candidate for nomination to a statewide
 or district [an] office[, other than a party office,] as provided by
 Section 67.017 for the report of precinct results for a general
 election.
 SECTION 6.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
