| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 435.001, Health and Safety Code, is | |
| 12 | 12 | amended by adding Subdivisions (2-a) and (2-b) to read as follows: | |
| 13 | 13 | (2-a) "Milk" means a liquid secreted by the mammary | |
| 14 | 14 | glands of female mammals. | |
| 15 | 15 | (2-b) "Milk product" means a product containing milk. | |
| 16 | 16 | SECTION 2. Section 435.007, Health and Safety Code, is | |
| 17 | 17 | amended by adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: | |
| 18 | 18 | (d) A person may not represent, label, or advertise a | |
| 19 | 19 | product as: | |
| 20 | 20 | (1) milk if the product is not milk; or | |
| 21 | 21 | (2) a milk product if the product is not a milk | |
| 22 | 22 | product. | |
| 23 | 23 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
