| 12 | 12 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 13 | 13 | | SECTION 1. Section 2004.002, Occupations Code, is amended |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | by amending Subdivision (2) and Subdivision (6) and adding a new |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Subdivision (7) to read as follows: |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | (2) "Professional sports team" means: |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | (A) a team organized in this state that is a |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | member of Major League Baseball, the National Basketball |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Association, the National Hockey League, the National Football |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | League, Major League Soccer, the American Hockey League, the East |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Coast Hockey League, the American Association of Independent |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | Professional Baseball, the Atlantic League of Professional |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Baseball, Minor League Baseball, the National Basketball |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Association Development League, the National Women's Soccer |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | League, the Major Arena Soccer League, the United Soccer League, or |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | the Women's National Basketball Association; |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | (B) a person hosting a motorsports racing team |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | event sanctioned by the National Association for Stock Car Auto |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Racing (NASCAR), INDYCar, or another nationally recognized |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | motorsports racing association at a venue in this state with a |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | permanent seating capacity of not less than 75,000; [or] |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | (C) an organization hosting a Professional Golf |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | Association event; or |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | (D) an organization hosting a Professional Rodeo |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | Event or sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | or the Women's Professional Rodeo Association. |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | (6) "Rodeo venue" means a facility in this state owned |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | or operated by and operated as the home venue of an organization |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association or the |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | Women's Professional Rodeo Association or an organization hosting a |
|---|
| 41 | 41 | | Professional Rodeo Event at which rodeos are conducted by that |
|---|
| 42 | 42 | | organization. |
|---|
| 43 | 43 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect on September 1, 2025. |
