| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 48.005, Education Code, is amended by | |
| 13 | 13 | adding Subsection (d-1) to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | (d-1) The commissioner shall adjust the average daily | |
| 15 | 15 | attendance of a school district in which an unforeseen event | |
| 16 | 16 | results in unsafe conditions at a district campus, such as a power | |
| 17 | 17 | outage that lasts longer than an hour. | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
