A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the adjustment of the average daily attendance of a
school district due to unsafe conditions.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 48.005, Education Code, is amended by
adding Subsection (d-1) to read as follows:
(d-1) The commissioner shall adjust the average daily
attendance of a school district in which an unforeseen event
results in unsafe conditions at a district campus, such as a power
outage that lasts longer than an hour.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
