88 AN ACT
99 relating to the designation of a portion of State Highway 11 in
1010 Morris County as the Army Staff Sergeant Samuel T. Castle Memorial
1111 Highway.
1212 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1313 SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code,
1414 is amended by adding Section 225.243 to read as follows:
1515 Sec. 225.243. ARMY STAFF SERGEANT SAMUEL T. CASTLE MEMORIAL
1616 HIGHWAY. (a) The portion of State Highway 11 in Morris County
1717 between the eastern municipal limits of Daingerfield and the
1818 western municipal limits of Hughes Springs is designated as the
1919 Army Staff Sergeant Samuel T. Castle Memorial Highway. The
2020 designation is in addition to any other designation.
2121 (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall:
2222 (1) design and construct markers indicating the
2323 designation as the Army Staff Sergeant Samuel T. Castle Memorial
2424 Highway and any other appropriate information; and
2525 (2) erect a marker at each end of the highway and at
2626 appropriate intermediate sites along the highway.
2727 SECTION 2. It is the intention of the 89th Legislature,
2828 Regular Session, 2025, that the provisions added by this Act be
2929 renumbered to prevent multiple provisions with the same
3030 designation.
3131 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
