| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 161, Agriculture Code, is | |
| 13 | 13 | amended by adding Section 161.0425 to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | Sec. 161.0425. PROHIBITED ADMINISTRATION OF VACCINE | |
| 15 | 15 | CONTAINING MRNA MATERIAL. (a) In this section, "mRNA material" | |
| 16 | 16 | means a substance that introduces messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) | |
| 17 | 17 | corresponding to a viral protein. | |
| 18 | 18 | (b) The commission shall adopt rules to prohibit the | |
| 19 | 19 | administration of a vaccine containing mRNA material to livestock | |
| 20 | 20 | and domestic fowl intended for human consumption. | |
| 21 | 21 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
