8 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
9 | 11 | SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 40, Human Resources Code, | |
10 | 12 | is amended by adding Section 40.084 to read as follows: | |
11 | 13 | Sec. 40.084. REIMBURSEMENT FOR LOST OR DAMAGED PERSONAL | |
12 | 14 | PROPERTY. The department, using existing resources, may reimburse | |
13 | 15 | a present or former employee of the department for loss of or damage | |
14 | 16 | to personal property caused by a client of the department in the | |
15 | 17 | course and scope of the employee's duties. | |
16 | 18 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
