8	8	AN ACT
9	9	relating to the availability on the Internet of a candidate's
10	10	application for a place on the ballot and campaign treasurer
11	11	appointment.
12	12	BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
13	13	SECTION 1. Chapter 142, Election Code, is amended by adding
14	14	Section 142.0055 to read as follows:
15	15	Sec. 142.0055. AVAILABILITY OF APPLICATIONS ON INTERNET.
16	16	The authority with whom a candidate files an application for a place
17	17	on the ballot under Section 142.005 shall make the application
18	18	available to the public on the authority's Internet website not
19	19	later than the 10th business day after the date the application is
20	20	received.
21	21	SECTION 2. Chapter 143, Election Code, is amended by adding
22	22	Section 143.0065 to read as follows:
23	23	Sec. 143.0065. AVAILABILITY OF APPLICATIONS ON INTERNET.
24	24	The authority with whom a candidate files an application for a place
25	25	on the ballot under Section 143.006 shall make the application
26	26	available to the public on the authority's Internet website not
27	27	later than the 10th business day after the date the application is
28	28	received.
29	29	SECTION 3. Chapter 144, Election Code, is amended by adding
30	30	Section 144.0045 to read as follows:
31	31	Sec. 144.0045. AVAILABILITY OF APPLICATIONS ON INTERNET.
32	32	The authority with whom a candidate files an application for a place
33	33	on the ballot under Section 144.004 shall make the application
34	34	available to the public on the authority's Internet website not
35	35	later than the 10th business day after the date the application is
36	36	received.
37	37	SECTION 4. Subchapter B, Chapter 172, Election Code, is
38	38	amended by adding Section 172.0225 to read as follows:
39	39	Sec. 172.0225. AVAILABILITY OF APPLICATIONS ON INTERNET.
40	40	The authority with whom a candidate files an application for a place
41	41	on the ballot under Section 172.022 shall make the application
42	42	available to the public on the authority's Internet website not
43	43	later than the 10th business day after the date the application is
44	44	received.
45	45	SECTION 5. Subchapter B, Chapter 181, Election Code, is
46	46	amended by adding Section 181.0325 to read as follows:
47	47	Sec. 181.0325. AVAILABILITY OF APPLICATIONS ON INTERNET.
48	48	The authority with whom a candidate files an application for a place
49	49	on the ballot under Section 181.032 shall make the application
50	50	available to the public on the authority's Internet website not
51	51	later than the 10th business day after the date the application is
52	52	received.
53	53	SECTION 6. Chapter 252, Election Code, is amended by adding
54	54	Section 252.016 to read as follows:
55	55	Sec. 252.016. AVAILABILITY OF APPLICATIONS ON INTERNET.
56	56	The authority with whom a person files a campaign treasurer
57	57	appointment under this chapter shall make the contents of the
58	58	appointment filing available to the public on the authority's
59	59	Internet website not later than the 10th business day after the date
60	60	the appointment is received.
61	61	SECTION 7. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
