 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 AN ACT
 relating to the availability on the Internet of a candidate's
 application for a place on the ballot and campaign treasurer
 appointment.
 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 SECTION 1.  Chapter 142, Election Code, is amended by adding
 Section 142.0055 to read as follows:
 Sec. 142.0055.  AVAILABILITY OF APPLICATIONS ON INTERNET.
 The authority with whom a candidate files an application for a place
 on the ballot under Section 142.005 shall make the application
 available to the public on the authority's Internet website not
 later than the 10th business day after the date the application is
 received.
 SECTION 2.  Chapter 143, Election Code, is amended by adding
 Section 143.0065 to read as follows:
 Sec. 143.0065.  AVAILABILITY OF APPLICATIONS ON INTERNET.
 The authority with whom a candidate files an application for a place
 on the ballot under Section 143.006 shall make the application
 available to the public on the authority's Internet website not
 later than the 10th business day after the date the application is
 received.
 SECTION 3.  Chapter 144, Election Code, is amended by adding
 Section 144.0045 to read as follows:
 Sec. 144.0045.  AVAILABILITY OF APPLICATIONS ON INTERNET.
 The authority with whom a candidate files an application for a place
 on the ballot under Section 144.004 shall make the application
 available to the public on the authority's Internet website not
 later than the 10th business day after the date the application is
 received.
 SECTION 4.  Subchapter B, Chapter 172, Election Code, is
 amended by adding Section 172.0225 to read as follows:
 Sec. 172.0225.  AVAILABILITY OF APPLICATIONS ON INTERNET.
 The authority with whom a candidate files an application for a place
 on the ballot under Section 172.022 shall make the application
 available to the public on the authority's Internet website not
 later than the 10th business day after the date the application is
 received.
 SECTION 5.  Subchapter B, Chapter 181, Election Code, is
 amended by adding Section 181.0325 to read as follows:
 Sec. 181.0325.  AVAILABILITY OF APPLICATIONS ON INTERNET.
 The authority with whom a candidate files an application for a place
 on the ballot under Section 181.032 shall make the application
 available to the public on the authority's Internet website not
 later than the 10th business day after the date the application is
 received.
 SECTION 6.  Chapter 252, Election Code, is amended by adding
 Section 252.016 to read as follows:
 Sec. 252.016.  AVAILABILITY OF APPLICATIONS ON INTERNET.
 The authority with whom a person files a campaign treasurer
 appointment under this chapter shall make the contents of the
 appointment filing available to the public on the authority's
 Internet website not later than the 10th business day after the date
 the appointment is received.
 SECTION 7.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
