89 relating to the confidentiality of identifying information of
910 victims of certain offenses.
1011 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1112 SECTION 1. The heading to Subchapter D, Chapter 58, Code of
1213 Criminal Procedure, is amended to read as follows:
1314 SUBCHAPTER D. CONFIDENTIALITY OF IDENTIFYING INFORMATION OF
1415 VICTIMS OF STALKING, INVASIVE VISUAL RECORDING, OR INDECENT ASSAULT
1516 SECTION 2. Article 58.151, Code of Criminal Procedure, is
1617 amended to read as follows:
1718 Art. 58.151. DEFINITION. In this subchapter, "victim"
1819 means a person who is the subject of:
1920 (1) an offense that allegedly constitutes:
2021 (A) stalking under Section 42.072, Penal Code;
2122 (B) invasive visual recording under Section
2223 21.15, Penal Code; or
2324 (C) indecent assault under Section 22.012, Penal
2425 Code; or
2526 (2) an offense that is part of the same criminal
2627 episode, as defined by Section 3.01, Penal Code, as an offense
2728 described by Subdivision (1) [under Section 42.072, Penal Code].
2829 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
