| 9 | 11 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 10 | 12 | | SECTION 1. Section 1603.2308, Occupations Code, is amended |

| 11 | 13 | | by adding Subsection (b-1) to read as follows: |
|---|
| 12 | 14 | | (b-1) The rules adopted under Subsection (b) must require |
|---|
| 13 | 15 | | students to receive instruction on identifying and assisting |
|---|
| 14 | 16 | | victims of domestic violence. |
|---|
| 15 | 17 | | SECTION 2. Section 1603.3002, Occupations Code, is amended |
|---|
| 16 | 18 | | by adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: |
|---|
| 17 | 19 | | (d) In addition to any continuing education requirements |
|---|
| 18 | 20 | | established under Subsection (a), the commission shall adopt rules |
|---|
| 19 | 21 | | requiring a license holder to complete continuing education on |
|---|
| 20 | 22 | | identifying and assisting victims of domestic violence. |
|---|
| 21 | 23 | | SECTION 3. As soon as practicable after the effective date |
|---|
| 22 | 24 | | of this Act, the Texas Commission of Licensing and Regulation shall |
|---|
| 23 | 25 | | adopt rules to implement the changes in law made by this Act. |
|---|
| 24 | 26 | | SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
