| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Jennifer Beech of Boggess Elementary School has been |

| 9 | 9 | | nominated for the 2025 Plano Independent School District Elementary |

| 10 | 10 | | Teacher of the Year award; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | become successful and productive adults, and those men and women |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Beech has taught a variety of programs and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | grade levels since 2012, including kindergarten, first grade, |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | fourth grade, special education, and English as a second language; |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | she currently serves as a prekindergarten teacher, and she has |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | previously volunteered in a number of schools in Michigan, Texas, |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Utah, Mexico, and Ecuador; she holds a bachelor's degree in |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | elementary education from Brigham Young University, and she has |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | also completed master's degree courses in literacy, math, and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | social studies at the University of Alabama; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Jennifer Beech exemplifies the passion, |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | best teachers, and she has set a standard of excellence to which all |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | in her profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it |

| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |

| 29 | 29 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Jennifer Beech on her nomination |
