| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, School boards play a crucial role in meeting the |

| 8 | 9 | | diverse educational needs of the youth in their districts, and the |

| 9 | 10 | | observance of School Board Recognition Month in January 2025 |

| 10 | 11 | | provides a fitting opportunity to honor Suzanne Kenoyer for her |

| 11 | 12 | | more than three decades of outstanding contributions to the Judson |

| 12 | 13 | | Independent School District; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, A graduate of Texas State University and Houston |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | Baptist University, Ms. Kenoyer was initially employed with Judson |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | ISD for 23 years as a teacher and curriculum specialist; she retired |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | from those duties in 2013, and in May 2017, she was elected to the |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | District 1 seat on the Judson ISD Board of Trustees; and |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Currently serving as president of the school board, |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | Ms. Kenoyer works tirelessly in behalf of more than 3,000 staff |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | members and 22,500 students on 32 campuses; her responsibilities |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | include assisting her fellow board members in setting policy and |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | ensuring the efficient use of the district's budget, with the goal |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | of creating an optimal learning environment for all pupils; |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | moreover, this distinguished public servant has built lasting |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | connections with district employees and families, fostering a deep |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | appreciation for the spirit of the Judson ISD community; and |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | WHEREAS, Suzanne Kenoyer has made a meaningful difference in |

| 28 | 29 | | the lives of countless young Texans through her work in the Judson |
|---|
| 29 | 30 | | Independent School District, and she may indeed take great pride in |

| 30 | 31 | | her exceptional record of achievement; now, therefore, be it |

| 31 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |

| 32 | 33 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Suzanne Kenoyer on her more than 30 |
