| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Corey D. Comperatore of Sarver, Pennsylvania, was |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | tragically killed on July 13, 2024, at the age of 50, during an |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | assassination attempt on the life of former president Donald Trump, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | and his death has brought an unimaginable loss to the many people |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | who loved and cherished him; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Born on June 16, 1974, in Natrona Heights, |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Pennsylvania, to Karen Bird and Carl L. Comperatore, Corey |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Comperatore grew up with the companionship of two sisters, Kelly |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | and Dawn, and a stepbrother, Steven Warheit; after graduating from |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Freeport High School in 1992, he served his country honorably in the |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | United States Army Reserve for 10 years, and he enjoyed a successful |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | civilian career as a project and tooling engineer at JSP; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Dedicated to his community, Mr. Comperatore was a |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | longtime member of the Buffalo Township Volunteer Fire Department, |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | and he served as chief in the early 2000s; a man of strong faith, he |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | was an active member of the congregation at Cabot Church in Cabot, |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Pennsylvania; and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Above all else, Mr. Comperatore was a loving and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | devoted husband and father; he shared a rewarding partnership with |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | his wife, Helen, and he took immense pride in his two daughters, |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Allyson and Kaylee; his ability to inspire others extended beyond |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | his immediate family, and he set a positive example through his |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | kindness and unwavering courage; and |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | WHEREAS, A pillar of strength to his loved ones and an admired |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | member of his community, Corey Comperatore enriched the lives of |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | innumerable people during his time on this earth, and he will |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | forever hold a treasured place in the hearts of those he left |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | behind; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Corey D. |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | Comperatore and extend deepest condolences to all who mourn his |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | passing; and, be it further |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |

| 41 | 41 | | prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|---|
| 42 | 42 | | Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Corey |
