 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Corey D. Comperatore of Sarver, Pennsylvania, was
 tragically killed on July 13, 2024, at the age of 50, during an
 assassination attempt on the life of former president Donald Trump,
 and his death has brought an unimaginable loss to the many people
 who loved and cherished him; and
 WHEREAS, Born on June 16, 1974, in Natrona Heights,
 Pennsylvania, to Karen Bird and Carl L. Comperatore, Corey
 Comperatore grew up with the companionship of two sisters, Kelly
 and Dawn, and a stepbrother, Steven Warheit; after graduating from
 Freeport High School in 1992, he served his country honorably in the
 United States Army Reserve for 10 years, and he enjoyed a successful
 civilian career as a project and tooling engineer at JSP; and
 WHEREAS, Dedicated to his community, Mr. Comperatore was a
 longtime member of the Buffalo Township Volunteer Fire Department,
 and he served as chief in the early 2000s; a man of strong faith, he
 was an active member of the congregation at Cabot Church in Cabot,
 Pennsylvania; and
 WHEREAS, Above all else, Mr. Comperatore was a loving and
 devoted husband and father; he shared a rewarding partnership with
 his wife, Helen, and he took immense pride in his two daughters,
 Allyson and Kaylee; his ability to inspire others extended beyond
 his immediate family, and he set a positive example through his
 kindness and unwavering courage; and
 WHEREAS, A pillar of strength to his loved ones and an admired
 member of his community, Corey Comperatore enriched the lives of
 innumerable people during his time on this earth, and he will
 forever hold a treasured place in the hearts of those he left
 behind; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Corey D.
 Comperatore and extend deepest condolences to all who mourn his
 passing; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Corey
 Comperatore.
