| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The Austin County 4-H Livestock Quiz Bowl team took |

| 8 | 9 | | first place at the Western National Roundup held on January 9, 2025, |

| 9 | 10 | | in Denver, Colorado; and |

| 10 | 11 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding achievement followed a number of |

| 11 | 12 | | other impressive performances by the team; after advancing from the |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | District 11 4-H Spring Spectacular in April 2024, the group bested |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | nine other teams to place first at the Texas 4-H Roundup in June, |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | qualifying for the national competition; team Texas defeated Idaho, |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | Colorado, Alaska, and Minnesota to reach the semifinals, where they |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | triumphed over Colorado once again to claim the national |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | championship; and |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, The dedicated members of the Austin County team are |

| 19 | 20 | | all juniors at Bellville High School; Katelyn Krenek, who served as |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | team captain, was named fourth High Point Individual overall, and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | Madilyn McCullough was named Champion High Point Individual with |

| 22 | 23 | | her record-breaking total of 32 points; the team also received |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | valuable contributions from its other members, Darcy Luedke and |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | Katie Schumann, and is ably guided by coaches Janet and Rodney |

| 25 | 26 | | Melnar; and |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | WHEREAS, These accomplished young Texans devoted many hours |

| 27 | 28 | | to increasing their knowledge of livestock-related topics, and |
|---|
| 28 | 29 | | their diligence and commitment to their studies are qualities that |

| 29 | 30 | | will serve them well in the years to come; now, therefore, be it |
