| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Brandi Clausen of the Dalhart Volunteer Fire |

| 10 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Clausen joined the Dalhart VFD on January 1, |

| 11 | 12 | | 2019, and over the years, she has played an instrumental role in |

| 12 | 13 | | responding to emergency calls; she holds Firefighter I |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | certification from the State Firefighters' & Fire Marshals' |

| 14 | 15 | | Association of Texas, and she is currently working towards her |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | Firefighter II certification; in January 2024, she attended the |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | Second in Command symposium hosted by the Texas Fire Chiefs |

| 17 | 18 | | Association in College Station, and she later instructed a class to |

| 18 | 19 | | share her new skills with colleagues; among her many achievements, |

| 19 | 20 | | she became the first woman to receive the Firefighter of the Year |

| 20 | 21 | | award from the Dalhart VFD in 2023; and |

| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, A resident of Dalhart since 2016, Ms. Clausen has |

| 22 | 23 | | enjoyed a rewarding career with the Texas Department of Criminal |

| 23 | 24 | | Justice, where she serves as a member of the search and rescue team; |

| 25 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Brandi Clausen has demonstrated an exceptional |

| 26 | 27 | | commitment to protecting the lives and property of her fellow |

| 27 | 28 | | citizens, and she is indeed deserving of this most recent honor; |
