| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Renowned Texas musician and actor Lyle Lovett is |

| 10 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Lyle Lovett was raised on a horse ranch in Klein, a |

| 11 | 12 | | town named after his great-great-grandfather, an early German |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | settler of the area; in ninth grade at Klein High School, he joined |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | his first band with his fellow FFA members, but he did not begin |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | writing songs until he attended Texas A&M University; following |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | graduation, he went on to study and play music in Germany; after |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | returning home, he earned a following on stages across the state |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | before further pursuing a music career in Nashville; he signed with |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | MCA/Curb Records in 1986, and later that year, he released his |
