8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, International Consulting Engineers has been |

9 | 9 | | selected as the recipient of several national and local awards; and |

10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Established in 2010, ICE is a multidisciplinary |

11 | 11 | | architectural, engineering, and construction firm with offices in |
---|
12 | 12 | | five cities across Texas; the firm benefits from the able |
---|
13 | 13 | | leadership of its chief executive officer, Jesus J. Jimenez, and |
---|
14 | 14 | | chief operating officer, Hugo P. Gonzalez, as well as from the |
---|
15 | 15 | | valuable contributions of its more than 120 employees; and |
---|
16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, On June 19, 2019, ICE was honored as the Nationwide |
---|
17 | 17 | | Small Business Contractor of the Year by the United States |
---|
18 | 18 | | Department of Agriculture at the USDA's Small Business Program |
---|
19 | 19 | | Award Ceremony in Washington, D.C.; the firm was nominated for this |
---|
20 | 20 | | prestigious accolade by the Agricultural Marketing Service; and |

21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, ICE was named the Local Small Business of the Year |
---|
22 | 22 | | for Region VI at the Small Business Industry Awards Gala hosted by |
---|
23 | 23 | | the HUBZone Council and the National 8(a) Association on |
---|
24 | 24 | | February 15, 2023; the award is presented to architectural and |
---|
25 | 25 | | engineering firms in Region VI, which includes Texas, New Mexico, |

26 | 26 | | Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas; and |

27 | 27 | | WHEREAS, The USDA Small Disadvantaged Business Contractor of |

28 | 28 | | the Year award was presented to ICE by the USDA Office of Small and |

29 | 29 | | Disadvantaged Business Utilization on December 10, 2024; this honor |

30 | 30 | | is also part of the USDA's Small Business Award Program, which |

31 | 31 | | recognizes individuals and businesses for outstanding achievement; |

33 | 33 | | WHEREAS, In addition, the leadership and staff of ICE have |

35 | 35 | | Opportunity Foundation, the Education is Our Freedom Scholarship |

---|

39 | 39 | | WHEREAS, International Consulting Engineers has |

40 | 40 | | distinguished itself among Texan-owned enterprises and built a |

41 | 41 | | commendable reputation within and beyond the Lone Star State, and |

42 | 42 | | Mr. Jimenez, Mr. Gonzalez, and their colleagues may take great |

43 | 43 | | pride in their many accomplishments; now, therefore, be it |

44 | 44 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |

45 | 45 | | Legislature hereby congratulate International Consulting Engineers |

46 | 46 | | on its national and local awards and extend to all those affiliated |
