 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, International Consulting Engineers has been
 selected as the recipient of several national and local awards; and
 WHEREAS, Established in 2010, ICE is a multidisciplinary
 architectural, engineering, and construction firm with offices in
 five cities across Texas; the firm benefits from the able
 leadership of its chief executive officer, Jesus J. Jimenez, and
 chief operating officer, Hugo P. Gonzalez, as well as from the
 valuable contributions of its more than 120 employees; and
 WHEREAS, On June 19, 2019, ICE was honored as the Nationwide
 Small Business Contractor of the Year by the United States
 Department of Agriculture at the USDA's Small Business Program
 Award Ceremony in Washington, D.C.; the firm was nominated for this
 prestigious accolade by the Agricultural Marketing Service; and
 WHEREAS, ICE was named the Local Small Business of the Year
 for Region VI at the Small Business Industry Awards Gala hosted by
 the HUBZone Council and the National 8(a) Association on
 February 15, 2023; the award is presented to architectural and
 engineering firms in Region VI, which includes Texas, New Mexico,
 Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas; and
 WHEREAS, The USDA Small Disadvantaged Business Contractor of
 the Year award was presented to ICE by the USDA Office of Small and
 Disadvantaged Business Utilization on December 10, 2024; this honor
 is also part of the USDA's Small Business Award Program, which
 recognizes individuals and businesses for outstanding achievement;
 and
 WHEREAS, In addition, the leadership and staff of ICE have
 given back to their communities through initiatives such as Tato's
 Opportunity Foundation, the Education is Our Freedom Scholarship
 Program, career and technical education internship programs,
 Coastal Bend Compass, and YESTexas Engineering Camp; in 2024, they
 recorded more than 600 volunteer hours; and
 WHEREAS, International Consulting Engineers has
 distinguished itself among Texan-owned enterprises and built a
 commendable reputation within and beyond the Lone Star State, and
 Mr. Jimenez, Mr. Gonzalez, and their colleagues may take great
 pride in their many accomplishments; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate International Consulting Engineers
 on its national and local awards and extend to all those affiliated
 with the firm sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it
 further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for ICE as an expression of high regard by the Texas House
 of Representatives.
