 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
 passing of Eugene Bothe of Brenham on March 11, 2025, at the age of
 92; and
 WHEREAS, The son of August and Margarethe Bothe, Eugene Bothe
 was born in Meyersville on April 28, 1932, and he grew up with the
 companionship of six siblings, Lonnie, Melvin, Ervin, Delores,
 Irene, and Clarence; he was baptized on October 30, 1932, and he was
 later confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Wiedeville; he
 attended schools in Wiedeville, and some of his first jobs included
 picking cotton, baling hay, and driving a milk truck; and
 WHEREAS, On September 18, 1955, Mr. Bothe wed the former
 Elois Kochwelp, and the couple went on to share in a rewarding
 marriage that spanned nearly 46 years until her passing in 2001; he
 took great pride in their five children, Jerry, Roxanna, Michael,
 Ronald, and Pamela, and with the passing years, he had the pleasure
 of seeing his treasured family grow to include eight grandchildren
 and two great-grandchildren; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Bothe embarked on a long and fulfilling career
 as a car salesman when he went to work for Rankin Motors; in 1970, he
 bought into the dealership and became a partner, and he later
 assumed its ownership in 1974; after many years of successfully
 running Bothe Ford, he sold the dealership and joined Tegeler
 Toyota, where he continued to work up until his passing; and
 WHEREAS, Over the years, Mr. Bothe also dabbled in the dirt
 construction and cattle businesses, work that he especially enjoyed
 doing with family and friends; a beloved member of his community, he
 also delighted in the many happy hours he spent dancing at parties
 and special events; and
 WHEREAS, Although he will be deeply missed, the passage of
 time will never diminish the joy and love that Eugene Bothe brought
 into the lives of all who knew him; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Eugene Bothe and
 extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of his family: to his
 children, Jerry Bothe and his wife, Cheryl, Roxanna Thiel, Michael
 Bothe and his wife, Olga, Ronald Bothe and his wife, Sarah, and
 Pamela Bothe; to his grandchildren, Christy Burleson and her
 husband, Trey, John Bothe and his wife, Emilie, Sara Bothe, Drew
 Bothe, Jackson Bothe, Hannah Seaman, Haley Seaman, and Kambryn
 Hamilton; to his great-grandchildren, Jake Burleson and Jhett
 Burleson; to his special friend, Nadine Rau; and to his many other
 relatives and friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Eugene
 Bothe.
