 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Theresa Boland retired from the Office of the Texas
 Governor on December 31, 2024, drawing to a close nearly 35 years of
 dedicated service to the state; and
 WHEREAS, A native of Poughkeepsie, New York, Terrie Boland
 graduated with a bachelor's degree in marketing and finance from
 the University of South Carolina in 1987; she began her career in
 government as a copy clerk for the Texas Secretary of State, and she
 went on to serve as an accountant and purchaser for the Texas Ethics
 Commission and as an accountant for the Texas Bond Review Board; and
 WHEREAS, Ms. Boland continued her accounting work with the
 Texas Department of Economic Development, where she rose to the
 position of budget director; in September 2003, the department was
 transferred to the Office of the Texas Governor, and she worked as a
 budget analyst in the office's Texas Economic Development & Tourism
 division; in 2016, she was elevated to the roles of chief financial
 officer and director of financial services for the office, which
 she held until her retirement; and
 WHEREAS, Over the past three and a half decades, Terrie
 Boland has given unstintingly of her talents and expertise in
 behalf of the people of Texas, and she may indeed reflect with pride
 on her myriad contributions as she embarks on a well-deserved
 retirement; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Theresa Boland on her retirement
 from the Office of the Texas Governor and extend to her sincere best
 wishes for the future; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Boland as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
