| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, National PEO Week is taking place from May 18 |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | through 24, 2025, offering a fitting opportunity to recognize |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | professional employer organizations for their contributions to |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | businesses across the United States; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, The more than 500 professional employer |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | organizations (PEOs) in the U.S. provide payroll and human |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | resources services to hundreds of thousands of small and mid-sized |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | businesses that, in total, employ over 4 million people; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, PEOs help companies improve productivity and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | profitability, expand their reach, and achieve their goals; |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | according to the National Association of Professional Employer |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Organizations, businesses working with a PEO grow two times faster, |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | have an employee turnover rate that is 12 percent lower, and have a |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | higher survival rate; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Additionally, by partnering with a PEO, businesses |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | are able to offer their employees retirement plans, health, dental, |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | and life insurance, dependent care, and other important benefits; |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | WHEREAS, Professional employer organizations are a vital |

| 27 | 27 | | asset to the businesses they serve, and it is a pleasure to join in |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | honoring these groups for their outstanding work; now, therefore, |

| 30 | 30 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |

| 31 | 31 | | Legislature hereby recognize May 18 through 24, 2025, as National |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | PEO Week and extend to all those involved in the professional |

| 33 | 33 | | employer organization industry sincere best wishes for the future. |
