| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers |

| 9 | 9 | | of Commerce is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its founding in |

| 10 | 10 | | 2025; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Established in 1975, TAMACC serves as the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | organizational umbrella for member Hispanic chambers and business |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | organizations across the state; the association is dedicated to |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | promoting business leadership, creating economic opportunities, |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | and providing legislative advocacy for the Hispanic business |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | community; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, One of the leading advocates for the approximately |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | 700,000 Hispanic-owned businesses in Texas, TAMACC is |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | headquartered in Buda and composed of 18 local Hispanic chambers of |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | commerce and more than 15,000 members; each year, the organization |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | conducts a convention and business expo, leadership development and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | procurement conferences, a legislative advocacy program, and a |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Women of Distinction Awards luncheon; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, TAMACC also provides technical assistance and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | support to its members, fosters mutually beneficial relationships |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | with affiliate organizations, and assists in the development of new |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | chambers; moreover, its mentorship program, Leadership Tejas, |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | helps prepare Hispanic business owners, company managers, |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | community leaders, and volunteers for prominent positions in their |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | communities and organizations; and |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | WHEREAS, For half a century, the Texas Association of Mexican |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | American Chambers of Commerce has played an integral role in the |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | growth and vitality of the Hispanic business community, and the |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | organization is indeed deserving of recognition as it marks this |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | special milestone in its history; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
|---|
| 37 | 37 | | Legislature hereby commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Texas |
|---|
| 38 | 38 | | Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce and extend to |
|---|
| 39 | 39 | | all those affiliated with the organization sincere best wishes for |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | continued success; and, be it further |

| 41 | 41 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |

| 42 | 42 | | prepared for the association as an expression of high regard by the |
|---|
