| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Gretchen Boyle is retiring from St. Joseph High |

| 9 | 9 | | School in Victoria in 2025, drawing to a close an outstanding career |

| 10 | 10 | | in education that has spanned 39 years; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, A member of the high school's Class of 1982, |

| 12 | 12 | | Mrs. Boyle graduated from St. Edward's University with a bachelor's |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | degree in English in 1986 and returned to St. Joseph as an English |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | teacher that same year; she continued her education at the |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | University of Houston-Victoria, earning a master's degree in |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | interdisciplinary studies in 1996; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Through her dedication, professionalism, and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | commitment to excellence, Gretchen Boyle has helped foster a |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | supportive and challenging educational environment for countless |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | young Texans, and she may indeed reflect with pride on her many |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | achievements as she embarks on the next exciting chapter of her |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | life; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |

| 24 | 24 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Gretchen Boyle on her retirement |

| 25 | 25 | | from St. Joseph High School in Victoria and extend to her sincere |

| 26 | 26 | | best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
