R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Gretchen Boyle is retiring from St. Joseph High
School in Victoria in 2025, drawing to a close an outstanding career
in education that has spanned 39 years; and
WHEREAS, A member of the high school's Class of 1982,
Mrs. Boyle graduated from St. Edward's University with a bachelor's
degree in English in 1986 and returned to St. Joseph as an English
teacher that same year; she continued her education at the
University of Houston-Victoria, earning a master's degree in
interdisciplinary studies in 1996; and
WHEREAS, Through her dedication, professionalism, and
commitment to excellence, Gretchen Boyle has helped foster a
supportive and challenging educational environment for countless
young Texans, and she may indeed reflect with pride on her many
achievements as she embarks on the next exciting chapter of her
life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Gretchen Boyle on her retirement
from St. Joseph High School in Victoria and extend to her sincere
best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mrs. Boyle as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
