8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Ayaan Moledina has distinguished himself through |

9 | 9 | | his exceptional work as an advocate for the youth community in |

11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, A student at St. Stephen's Episcopal School in |
---|
12 | 12 | | Austin, Mr. Moledina serves as federal policy director of Students |
---|
13 | 13 | | Engaged In Advancing Texas and vice chair of the organization's |
---|
14 | 14 | | board; among his many duties, he has championed legislative efforts |
---|
15 | 15 | | regarding suicide prevention, bullying, mental health, and youth |
---|
16 | 16 | | representation in government; he also worked on federal policy |
---|
17 | 17 | | during his internship with the American Foundation for Suicide |
---|
18 | 18 | | Prevention; as the deputy executive director of the Youth Power |
---|
19 | 19 | | Project, he helped organize the 2024 White House Youth Suicide |
---|
20 | 20 | | Prevention Roundtable, guided advocacy at the Texas Legislature, |

21 | 21 | | and assisted with bills at the local, state, and national levels; |

27 | 27 | | president of ambassador training and activation for Teens For |

28 | 28 | | Vaccines; he has further given of his time and talents as a board |

29 | 29 | | member of Team ENOUGH, This Is My Brave, and the Round Rock ISD |

30 | 30 | | School Health Advisory Council and as digital director of the |

31 | 31 | | American Muslim and Multifaith Women's Empowerment Council, CALPAK |

32 | 32 | | Education Services, and the Pakistani-American Democratic Club of |

41 | 41 | | WHEREAS, Ayaan Moledina has demonstrated an unwavering |

43 | 43 | | the lives of his fellow young Texans, and his myriad efforts are |

44 | 44 | | indeed deserving of recognition; now, therefore, be it |

45 | 45 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |

46 | 46 | | Legislature hereby honor Ayaan Moledina for his advocacy on youth |

47 | 47 | | issues and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be |
