R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Mixtli in San Antonio has been awarded a 2024
MICHELIN Star by the MICHELIN Guide; and
WHEREAS, One of the most prestigious honors in the culinary
world, a MICHELIN Star rating is regarded as the pinnacle of
achievement for restaurants and chefs around the globe; candidates
are evaluated by MICHELIN inspectors on the quality of their
ingredients, the balance of flavors in their dishes, the technical
expertise on display, the personality of the chef as conveyed
through the cuisine, and consistency between visits; and
WHEREAS, Founded by Rico Torres and Diego Galicia, Mixtli is
the sole San Antonio establishment to receive a star rating in
MICHELIN's inaugural Texas guide; the restaurant features an
evolving menu that explores the richness and regional diversity of
Mexico's gastronomic landscape; and
WHEREAS, With its receipt of this prestigious honor, Mixtli
has secured a place among the top dining establishments in the
world, and the restaurant's ownership, management, and staff may
indeed take pride in this impressive accomplishment; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Mixtli on earning a MICHELIN Star
rating for 2024 and extend to all those associated with the
restaurant sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the restaurant as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
