| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The birthdays of two esteemed Texans are truly a |

| 9 | 9 | | cause for celebration, and Mario and Jemimah Trevino are being |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | honored by their family and many friends at an event on |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | May 31, 2025, in Weslaco; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Born on May 29, 1945, Mario Trevino answered his |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | nation's call to duty and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | War; Jemimah Trevino was born on March 6, 1949, and the couple were |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | joined in matrimony on April 7, 1968; they have been blessed with |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | five children, Ruben, Elias, Irene, Ida, and Eric, and over the |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | years, they have welcomed into their cherished family nine |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, These respected members of the community are devoted |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | congregants at Family Life Ministries, where they have faithfully |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | served as general treasurers for more than five and a half decades; |
|---|

| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Dedicated to their loved ones and their church |

| 24 | 24 | | community, Mario and Jemimah Trevino are a source of joy and |

| 25 | 25 | | inspiration to all who have the great privilege of knowing them and |

| 26 | 26 | | sharing in the richness of their life together; now, therefore, be |

| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas |
