 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 AN ACT
 relating to certain retail sales of motor vehicles, trailers, and
 semitrailers by a holder of a converter's license.
 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 SECTION 1.  Section 2301.476, Occupations Code, is amended
 by adding Subsection (h-2) to read as follows:
 (h-2)  Notwithstanding any other law, a person who holds a
 converter's license is not required to hold any additional license
 or general distinguishing number to sell to a retail purchaser:
 (1)  a new motor vehicle the person converted, if the
 vehicle manufacturer transferred the chassis and the
 manufacturer's statement of origin to the person; or
 (2)  a trailer or semitrailer the person manufactured.
 SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution.  If this
 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
 Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
