13 | 11 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

14 | 12 | | SECTION 1. Section 1952.103(c), Occupations Code, is |
---|
15 | 13 | | amended to read as follows: |

16 | 14 | | (c) Except as otherwise provided by this subsection, a [A] |
---|
17 | 15 | | code enforcement officer in training may engage in code enforcement |
---|
18 | 16 | | under the supervision of a registered code enforcement officer. If |
---|
19 | 17 | | the employer of the code enforcement officer in training does not |
---|
20 | 18 | | also employ a registered code enforcement officer, the officer in |
---|
21 | 19 | | training may engage in code enforcement without supervision. |
---|
22 | 20 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
---|
23 | 21 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
---|
24 | 22 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
---|
25 | 23 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
---|
26 | 24 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
