97 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
108 AN ACT
119 relating to the supervision requirements of a code enforcement
1210 officer in training.
1311 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1412 SECTION 1. Section 1952.103(c), Occupations Code, is
1513 amended to read as follows:
1614 (c) Except as otherwise provided by this subsection, a [A]
1715 code enforcement officer in training may engage in code enforcement
1816 under the supervision of a registered code enforcement officer. If
1917 the employer of the code enforcement officer in training does not
2018 also employ a registered code enforcement officer, the officer in
2119 training may engage in code enforcement without supervision.
2220 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
2321 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
2422 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
2523 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
2624 Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
