Click here to see the committee vote A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT relating to the supervision requirements of a code enforcement officer in training. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: SECTION 1. Section 1952.103(c), Occupations Code, is amended to read as follows: (c) Except as otherwise provided by this subsection, a [A] code enforcement officer in training may engage in code enforcement under the supervision of a registered code enforcement officer. If the employer of the code enforcement officer in training does not also employ a registered code enforcement officer, the officer in training may engage in code enforcement without supervision. SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this Act takes effect September 1, 2025. * * * * *
