| 10 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 504.605(a), Transportation Code, is | |
| 12 | 12 | amended to read as follows: | |
| 13 | 13 | (a) The department shall issue specialty license plates | |
| 14 | 14 | including the words "Animal Friendly." and shall issue other | |
| 15 | 15 | specialty license plates designed to benefit animal welfare and | |
| 16 | 16 | spay-neuter programs in Texas. The department shall design the | |
| 17 | 17 | license plates in consultation with the Texas Humane Legislation | |
| 18 | 18 | Network. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
