12 | 12 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
13 | 13 | SECTION 1. Section 42.0562(c)(2), Human Resources Code, is | |
14 | 14 | amended to read as follows: | |
15 | 15 | (2) "Licensing authority" means a department, | |
16 | 16 | commission, board, office, or other agency of the state that issues | |
17 | 17 | a license, including: | |
18 | 18 | (A) the Department of State Health Services; | |
19 | 19 | (B) the Health and Human Services Commission; | |
20 | 20 | (C) the Texas Behavioral Health Executive | |
21 | 21 | Council; | |
22 | 22 | (D) the Texas Juvenile Justice Department; | |
23 | 23 | (E) the Texas Board of Nursing; | |
24 | 24 | (F) the Texas Medical Board; | |
25 | 25 | (G) the State Board for Educator Certification; | |
26 | 26 | and | |
27 | 27 | (H) the Texas Department of Licensing and | |
28 | 28 | Regulation. | |
29 | 29 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
