| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 161, Health and Safety | |
| 13 | 13 | Code, is amended by adding Section 161.0053 to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | Sec. 161.0053. PROHIBITED IMMUNIZATION WITH PRODUCT | |
| 15 | 15 | CONTAINING MRNA MATERIAL. (a) In this section, "mRNA material" | |
| 16 | 16 | means a substance that introduces messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) | |
| 17 | 17 | corresponding to a viral protein. | |
| 18 | 18 | (b) A person may not administer for the purpose of | |
| 19 | 19 | immunization a product containing mRNA material. | |
| 20 | 20 | (c) This section does not apply to a product containing mRNA | |
| 21 | 21 | material used for the treatment of cancer or a genetic disorder. | |
| 22 | 22 | (d) This section expires September 1, 2035. | |
| 23 | 23 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. |
