 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 AN ACT
 relating to the prohibition of immunization with a product
 containing mRNA material.
 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 SECTION 1.  Subchapter A, Chapter 161, Health and Safety
 Code, is amended by adding Section 161.0053 to read as follows:
 Sec. 161.0053.  PROHIBITED IMMUNIZATION WITH PRODUCT
 CONTAINING MRNA MATERIAL. (a)  In this section, "mRNA material"
 means a substance that introduces messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA)
 corresponding to a viral protein.
 (b)  A person may not administer for the purpose of
 immunization a product containing mRNA material.
 (c)  This section does not apply to a product containing mRNA
 material used for the treatment of cancer or a genetic disorder.
 (d)  This section expires September 1, 2035.
 SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
