A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to a publication by the Parks and Wildlife Department on
the dangers of reflective windows for birds and the distribution of
the publication to municipalities and the construction industry.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 12, Parks and Wildlife
Code, is amended by adding Section 12.0065 to read as follows:
Sec. 12.0065. PUBLICATION ON DANGERS OF REFLECTIVE WINDOWS
TO BIRDS; DISTRIBUTION TO MUNICIPALITIES AND CONSTRUCTION
INDUSTRY. (a) The department shall:
(1) produce a publication on the dangers posed to
birds by reflective windows; and
(2) provide copies of the publication at no cost to
municipalities.
(b) A municipality that receives copies of the publication
from the department under Subsection (a)(2) shall distribute the
copies at no cost to members of the construction industry active in
the municipality.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
