148 AN ACT
15- relating to the amount of certain revenue that may be used for and
16- the location of state veterans cemeteries.
9+ relating to the location of and the amount of certain revenue that
10+ may be used for state veterans cemeteries.
1711 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1812 SECTION 1. Sections 164.005(f) and (h), Natural Resources
1913 Code, are amended to read as follows:
2014 (f) The board, the chairman of the Texas Veterans
2115 Commission, and two representatives of the veterans community
2216 selected by the chairman of the Texas Veterans Commission shall:
2317 (1) establish the guidelines for determining:
24- (A) the location and size of state veterans
25- cemeteries that are funded by a grant from the United States
26- Department of Veterans Affairs [veterans cemeteries]; and
18+ (A) the location and size of veterans cemeteries;
19+ and
2720 (B) the eligibility for burial in a veterans
2821 cemetery; and
2922 (2) select [up to seven] locations across the state
30- for state veterans cemeteries that are funded by a grant from the
31- United States Department of Veterans Affairs [veterans

42- may not use funds from the veterans' land fund, the veterans'
43- housing assistance fund, or the veterans' housing assistance fund
44- II to acquire land to be used for a veterans cemetery.
