5	8		WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Charles Alfred
6	9		Williamson of Tyler were deeply saddened by his death on December
7	10		20, 2024, at the age of 55; and
8	11		WHEREAS, Born on July 6, 1969, to J. C. and Shirley Quick
9	12		Williamson, Charlie Williamson graduated from Palestine High
10		-	School; he went on to attend The University of Texas at Tyler,
11		-	where he earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice; he
12		-	worked at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, rising to the
13		-	rank of warden, and he retired after nearly 20 years of dedicated
14		-	service; he later was employed by Recana Recruiting and Staffing
15		-	Solutions; and
	13	+	School; he went on to attend The University of Texas at Tyler, where
	14	+	he earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice; he worked at the
	15	+	Texas Department of Criminal Justice, rising to the rank of warden,
	16	+	and he retired after nearly 20 years of dedicated service; he later
	17	+	was employed by Recana Recruiting and Staffing Solutions; and
16	18		WHEREAS, Public service was of great importance to
17	19		Mr. Williamson, and he served as the Rusk County Republican Party
18	20		Chair from 2012 to 2024; he was also an avid Longhorns fan, and he
19	21		enjoyed watching college football with his loved ones; a lifelong
20	22		Methodist, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Allison
21	23		Plunkett Williamson; and
22		-	WHEREAS, Although Charlie Williamson will be deeply
23		-	~~missed,~~ he has left his family and friends with a wealth of
24		-	~~memories that~~ they will forever treasure; now, therefore, be it
25		-	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the ~~State of~~ Texas~~, 89th~~
26		-	~~Legislature,~~ hereby pay tribute to the life of Charles Alfred
27		-	~~Williamson and~~ extend sincere condolences to the members of his
28		-	~~family: to his~~ children, James "Jay" Williamson and Jenna Kathryn
29		-	~~Williamson; to~~ his parents, J. C. and Shirley Williamson; to his
30		-	~~father- and~~ mother-in-law, Bill and Sarah Plunkett; to his
31		-	~~stepson, William~~ Plunkett, and stepdaughter, Evie Plunkett; to
32		-	~~his brother-in-law,~~ Logan Plunkett; and to his many other
33		-	~~relatives and friends; and, be~~ it further
	24	+	WHEREAS, Although Charlie Williamson will be deeply missed,
	25	+	he has left his family and friends with a wealth of memories that
	26	+	they will forever treasure; now, therefore, be it
	27	+	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 89th Texas Legislature
	28	+	hereby pay tribute to the life of Charles Alfred Williamson and
	29	+	extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his
	30	+	children, James "Jay" Williamson and Jenna Kathryn Williamson; to
	31	+	his parents, J. C. and Shirley Williamson; to his father- and
	32	+	mother-in-law, Bill and Sarah Plunkett; to his stepson, William
	33	+	Plunkett, and stepdaughter, Evie Plunkett; to his brother-in-law,
	34	+	Logan Plunkett; and to his many other relatives and friends; and, be
	35	+	it further
34	36		RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
35		-	prepared for his family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns
36		-	this day, it do so in memory of Charlie Williamson.
