	8	+	WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Karolyn Ferrell Perry
	9	+	of Tyler were deeply saddened by her passing on January 31, 2025, at
	10	+	the age of 78; and
8	11		WHEREAS, The daughter of Claude Vernon Ferrell and Rena
9		-	Jennise Ferrell, the former Karolyn Ferrell was born in Beaumont
10		-	on November 22, 1946, and she grew up with the companionship of a
11		-	sister, Claudia; during her senior year at French High School,
12		-	~~she~~ sang alto in a folk group, where she met the love of her life,
13		-	~~Thomas~~ McDow Perry Jr.; and
	12	+	Jennise Ferrell, the former Karolyn Ferrell was born in Beaumont on

17	20		grandchildren; and
18		-	WHEREAS, Mrs. Perry spent several years working as a
19		-	~~special~~ education teacher and more than two and a half decades as
20		-	a homemaker; a talented artist and seamstress, she created many

26		-	~~loved ones~~ remain to comfort and inspire those she leaves behind;

28		-	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the ~~State of~~ Texas~~, 89th~~
29		-	~~Legislature,~~ hereby pay tribute to the life of Karolyn Ferrell
30		-	~~Perry and extend~~ sincere condolences to the members of her
31		-	~~family: to her husband,~~ Thomas McDow Perry Jr.; to her children,
32		-	~~Stephanie Perry, Todd~~ Perry and his wife, Michelle, and Alicia
33		-	~~Sparkman and her husband,~~ Travis; to her grandchildren; to her
34		-	~~sisters-in-law, Linda Howland~~ and Frances Perry; to her sister,
35		-	~~Claudia Ferrell McKeller; to her~~ adopted aunt, Janet Townsend;

	37	+	and Frances Perry; to her sister, Claudia Ferrell McKeller; to her
	38	+	adopted aunt, Janet Townsend; and to her many other relatives and

37	40		RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
38		-	prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns
39		-	this day, it do so in memory of Karolyn Perry.
